BAFM Coordinator vacancy – Scotland
British Association of Friends of Museums (BAFM) is seeking a Coordinator to cover Scotland.
BAFM is here to help, encourage, inform and advise friends, supporters and volunteers of museums, galleries, and other cultural organisations in all sections of our UK heritage. They support local Friends’ groups, keep them informed about items of benefit, and provide a network to help share problems and solutions.
This is a voluntary role (with reasonable expenses paid annually) to connect friends groups across Scotland, from Orkney to the borders. The role involves digital communication via e.g. newsletters, as well as in-person visits.
All 12 BAFM coordinators from across the UK meet together 3 times a year; in January, July and the day before National Conference in the Autumn. Meetings are usually in London, or hybrid depending on Covid guidance. BAFM also has international links via the World Federation of friends of museums.
To express interest in the role, or find out more, please contact John Rosenfield, the current post-holder, on [email protected]
