Connected Communities – The role of museums in supporting wellbeing and alleviating loneliness – FULLY BOOKED

THIS SESSION IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.

This event is in connection with AIM’s new grant scheme, Connected Communities. If you’re thinking of applying to the grant scheme then we’d recommend coming along to this session. However, the session is also open to anyone interested in the topic of wellbeing and loneliness and the role of the heritage sector.

This session will help you understand what we mean when we talk about wellbeing and how loneliness can affect people’s lives. We will look at the role of museums and heritage projects in supporting people and communities using evidence from research and case studies from practice. This is an interactive session in which you will have the chance to think through how your organisation already makes a difference in wellbeing, and what you could build on for the future.

The session will be hosted by Ingrid Abreu Scherer, Senior Civil Society Lead, What Works Centre for Wellbeing. Ingrid works with charities, community groups, social enterprises – and those who fund them – to help people use evidence to design better activities, and support them to evaluate their wellbeing impact. She is a founding trustee of The Mill, a community project in Walthamstow, East London.

This is a free session, open to everyone, not just AIM members, and will be hosted on Zoom.

2pm – 3.30pm Thursday 29 June.
