Hallmarks at Home – Diversifying your income – FULLY BOOKED

THIS SESSION IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.

In this session we explore how to diversify your income streams and by doing so become a more resilient organisation. A museum is not the same as a business. But having an enterprising spirit and an openness to look at the world of start-ups, businesses, social enterprise and other charities will have extraordinary benefits. We’ll start with a step-by-step guide to the kind of thinking you might need to do. From understanding your current situation and income streams, to changing your mindset; and from looking at your assets, to looking at your available time and resources. We’ll then go on to see what others are doing, to gain inspiration and the confidence to try things for ourselves.

Diversifying Income is facilitated by Rosalind Johnson of A Different View. She’s one of AIM’s prospering boards advisors and has been consulting to the cultural sector for twenty years. She founded her first company at 26 and has since founded and developed four companies, including one in the USA. She’s advised commercial attraction owners, theatres, arts venues, museums, heritage and conservation charities such as zoos, aquariums and green spaces. She’s helped diversify income streams for national museums as well as historic houses and smaller volunteer-run organisations.

11am – 12.30pm Wednesday 3 February.
