Hallmarks at Home – Volunteering and the new normal

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.

During lockdown, volunteers were at the forefront of many of our minds. How could we keep our people engaged and actively contributing to our museums, as well as helping to ensure their wellbeing remotely during very difficult times? Scroll forward to the present and as museums look to the future, volunteering should be top of our agenda again, as we consider how best to involve volunteers in this ‘new normal’ world.

This practical workshop will help you to plan for how the nature of volunteering might change in your museum in the coming months, including key considerations for ensuring volunteers’ health, safety, and wellbeing as well as ways of adapting volunteer roles and supporting volunteers through the changes that are taking place.

The workshop will be led by Alex Lindley, one of AIM’s Prospering Boards consultants. Alex has extensive experience of working with AIM members and other cultural and Not-for-Profit organisations to develop volunteering strategies, improve volunteer management practices and increase volunteer engagement and motivation.

Wednesday 11 November 11am – 12.30pm.
