Based at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham, the Conservation and Museums Advisory Service has a multi-disciplinary team specialising in object and archive conservation. We provide a range of services, including conservation treatments, environmental surveys and preventative conservation advice. We are a friendly team, with experience of working on large and small projects, and enjoy working with clients to find practical solutions and help prioritise resources.
ICM® offers an eco-friendly, chemical-free, warm air treatment method to sensitively eradicate insect pests from artworks, archives, and collection objects.
We have worked with many world-renowned museums, galleries, auction houses and heritage collections across Europe, treating a wide variety of items from oil on canvas paintings, polychrome sculptures and giltwood furniture to tapestries, ethnographic and botanical collections.
