Honours Week 14 – 17 June

To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee year, the Cabinet Office are running a week of honours related events which will take place virtually from the 14 – 17 June 2022.

Join a series of free online events to hear the stories from a variety of inspirational honours recipients and special guest speakers, while taking the opportunity to learn more about the UK honours system and how you can make your own nomination for someone amazing.

Explore the range of events, from understanding the honours system in specific sectors (Education, Science & Technology, Community & Voluntary and Health Care), to citation writing workshops, discussions on diversity within the system and other special events featuring fantastic speakers.

Have a chance to ask questions to the team behind the honours system based within the Cabinet Office and to independent Committee members and access top tips on how you can put together a successful Honours nomination.

People can be nominated for honours by anyone and AIM is keen to support nominations celebrating the breadth of great work in independent museums and heritage. AIM’s Chair, Andrew Lovett, was awarded an OBE in the new year’s Honours List along with other figures from museums and heritage, and we’d be keen to see more people recognised for their achievements in this way.
