Job vacancy – Adminstrator at National Paralympic Heritage Trust

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small team as the Trust’s Administrator, a central and key role to our operation and success. We are looking for a superbly organised, self-motivated, experienced administrator to work 20 hours a week. You will have a commitment to inclusion and ideally interests in sport and heritage, and at least two years experience in a similar role. 

The National Paralympic Heritage Project is mapping, conserving and making accessible to national audiences, collections and archives relating to the British Paralympic story. It has created a permanent Heritage Centre at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the Birthplace of the Paralympic Movement, and is delivering a national network of satellite exhibitions and a virtual museum. The Trust is running outreach projects of special exhibitions and events alongside a diverse engagement programme particularly targeting disabled people and their families as well as schools and universities. The main Trust partners are the British Paralympic Association (BPA), WheelPower – British Wheelchair Sport and Buckinghamshire County (BC).

This is an exciting time with the planned delivery of a new dynamic community engagement programme 2020-2023 including the creation of mini exhibitions, meet the Paralympian events, disabled artist community residencies, 3D heritage photography skills development, virtual exhibitions, Heritage Centre tours and school visits. The Heritage Lottery Fund, the HS2 Community Fund and the Rothschild Foundation are generously supporting this work. The Administrator will play a central and key role to our operations and success. You will have a commitment to inclusion and ideally interests in sport and heritage. We are looking for a superbly organized, self motivated, experienced Administrator to work 20 hours a week with us.

The proposed salary is £24,960 a year Pro rata 2.5 days a week (20 hours).
