Job vacancy – Centre Manager at Dean Heritage Centre

Location: Dean Heritage Centre, Gloucestershire
Salary: circa £25,000
Hours: 40 hours per week

The Dean Heritage Centre is one of Gloucestershire’s leading visitor attractions. Set in historic buildings amongst five acres of stunning scenery, the centre is fully interactive and protects and preserves the unique history and heritage of the Forest of Dean. There are a wide range of things to explore and discover with five indoor galleries exploring the history of the Forest, a Victorian cottage, a Charcoal Burners Camp, a Waterwheel, a Beam Engine and much more! The centre also hosts special events, exhibitions and educational workshops throughout the year.
The Trustees are now seeking a Centre Manager with the energy and commitment to work with the Board, staff and volunteers to develop and grow this unique visitor attraction for the future.
We are seeking a candidate with proven leadership and management qualities, the ability to work both strategically and operationally, and financially astute, previous experience of working within a visitor attraction or heritage setting is desirable but not essential.
