Spring Statement 2022: what does it mean for charities and their beneficiaries?

The highly anticipated Spring Statement from Chancellor Rishi Sunak was delivered on 23 March. Saying that the background to this year’s Spring Statement was difficult is something of an understatement. Inflation on the rise, increases to NICs and a real-terms cut to benefits are only some of the factors that are undermining the financial sustainability of charities and having a severe impact on those they serve.
