Haslemere Educational Museum in Surrey is seeking three new Trustees to join the Board.
- Legal – a qualified solicitor/barrister with experience in providing a wide range of commercial legal advice to businesses. This should include such matters as governance, company secretarial, compliance and regulatory issues. Experience or knowledge of employment law, data protection and providing advice on contracts and agreements would also be welcomed.
- Property – an individual with practical knowledge of maintenance to older buildings especially listed. A knowledge of and willingness to keep abreast of the regulations governing public buildings, and requirements of energy saving equipment. An ability to identify funding opportunities to deal with minor or major works would be an advantage.
- Fundraising and marketing – to lead a fundraising campaign for the renovation of the building. Candidates should have the experience of imaginative fundraising events as well as awareness raising. They should develop relationships with major donors, members and other supporters. Experience in the third sector is preferred. Three year appointment.
Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 6 meetings a year plus PVs
