Trustee vacancies – Lakeland Arts

Be part of the Lake District’s cultural heritage – Lakeland Arts is recruiting for the Board of Trustees

Lakeland Arts is one of the most remarkable arts and heritage organisations in the North and has an exceptional portfolio of attractions in an area of outstanding natural beauty: Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Lakeland Museum in Kendal, and Blackwell and Windermere Jetty Museum in Bowness.

They are seeking new volunteer trustees to help drive their new vision and values forward and, as the organisation steers through the unprecedented challenges of this year, a new and forward-looking approach is more important than ever.

Whether you are an experienced trustee or wanting to take your first steps at Board level, Lakeland Arts want to hear from you.  They are seeking a new chair for the Board of Trustees as well as other new trustees with skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • Finance
  • Law
  • Community engagement
  • Digital & new media
  • Fundraising
  • Education (particularly schools)

They are especially keen to increase the diversity of our board, and welcome applications from both Cumbria-based candidates and those from further afield. Trustees meet four times a year and meetings are held in Cumbria.
