Trustee vacancy – Avoncroft Museum
Avoncroft Museum is looking for a new generation of Trustees who will shape the museum’s long-term future, continuing to protect our heritage and serve the public, making the museum a great place to visit and learn. Our future Trustees need to reflect the diversity of both the communities of Worcestershire and the West Midlands and tourists from across the UK.
We are looking to recruit a minimum of 5 Trustees, including the position of Honorary Treasurer. We are looking for people who will bring one or more of the following skills:
- Heritage / museum experience at an operational and/or strategic level
- Innovate and able to lead change – perhaps transferable skills from a different sector.
- Entrepreneurial and able to bring new ideas and challenge within a not-for-profit environment.
- Financial skills, ideally with an accountancy qualification (Treasurer)
- Knowledge of audit and risk management.
Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 6 meetings per year plus 2 away days.
Daytime or evening meetings: meetings usually in late afternoon and early evening.
