Trustee vacancy – Bawdsey Radar Trust
Bawdsey Radar Trust (BRT) manages the award-winning museum inside the Grade II* radar Transmitter Block where radar was developed in great secrecy, just before the start of the Second World War.
We are seeking a new Chair of Trustees to lead the Board and are in search of someone who will champion BRT’s mission to share the global story of radar to diverse audiences. This is an exciting time for BRT: we aim to grow the museum’s profile, building on our recent Museum Accreditation award and the successful delivery of a £1.8m restoration project.
Your background could be in many diverse areas ranging from education to technology to marketing – more important is the passion you will bring to the Trust.
Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: The BRT Board currently meets ten times a year (currently virtual) with some additional meetings in between if required.
Daytime or evening meetings: Evening meetings
Closing date for applications: 14 October 2022

If you would like to join the team as we expand into exciting new areas, please get in touch. A knowledge of radar is not essential. Our full Chair of Trustees recruitment pack can be requested from [email protected] or telephone Graham Murchie, BRT Trustee, on 07860 356775.
