Trustee vacancy – Dorset Museum

Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society are recruiting a Chair and a new Trustee.

1  Chair

With Board level experience ideally Chair or Deputy Chair, the Board is seeking an individual who can demonstrate the very highest levels of good governance; who will lead on the development of a new strategic plan; exhibit high standards of organisational and financial management; lead the Board in making informed, ambitious and strategic decisions.

2 Trustee

The Board of Trustees has ultimate responsibility for the running of the DNHAS and the Dorset Museum. Dealing with all major policy decisions, strategic and constitutional matters, approval of the annual budget, accounts and business plan, ensuring the solvency of the DNHAS and the safety of its assets.  The overall governance of the organisation lies with the Board.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:  4 meetings, approx. 26 days per annum (Chair) – 8 day per annum (Trustee)

Daytime or evening meetings:  daytime/late afternoon/early evening
