Trustee vacancy – Medway Queen Preservation Society

Medway Queen Preservation Society in Kent have two trustee vacancies – Treasurer and Venue Manager.

Treasurer: to take responsibility for MQPS financial matters, control and reporting. Heading fundraising campaigns is an important part of the brief. MQPS hires a contracted book-keeper and this is expected to continue. The new appointee will be co-opted to the management committee while he/she gets to know the role with a move to Trustee by mutual agreement. The position requires appropriate experience with knowledge of charity finances.

Venue Manager & assistant: We plan to hire out Medway Queen as a static venue for events. The Venue Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the hire process following a procedure to be mutually agreed. The position includes membership of the Management Committee with the possibility of becoming a Trustee. This position requires appropriate experience of managing small venues and the ability to attend the ship frequently to oversee all hire activities including security and safety.

All volunteers are expected to become members of MQPS.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 12 Trustee meetings per year. Other work and meetings as required.
