Trustee vacancy – Roald Dahl Museum
Join the Board of Trustees at the Roald Dahl Museum
- Are you committed to creativity?
- Do you care that charities are well-run?
- Do you value the power of heritage in the present and future?
If this is you… You could become a trustee at the Roald Dahl Museum.
Our Board of Trustees govern the Museum charity, scrutinising and supporting the staff team, to ensure that we consistently serve our charitable purpose and meet our strategic aims. To learn more about the Museum go to https://www.roalddahlmuseum.org/aboutthemuseum/
It’s an exciting time to join the Museum Board: our Forward Plan 2023-28 will see us transform our site and engage new audiences through our major regeneration project, ‘Unlocking Stories at the Roald Dahl Museum’. Design work is already well underway.
You don’t have to have been a trustee anywhere before to join our Board. If you are thoughtful, constructive, willing to learn at the same time as giving your own insights to our cause, please consider applying. Your personal and professional experience is what matters.
Additional information
Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:
We estimate it takes about one cumulative day a month to be a trustee, averaged across the year (more in months with meetings, less at other times). We appreciate that our trustees are volunteers; a strong Board shares its work around.
The Board meets four times a year either at the Museum or online when necessary, plus an annual away day. If you volunteer for project groups or committees there may be other online meetings or calls.
Daytime or evening meetings: Daytime meetings
Closing date for applications: 12noon 21 September 2023
