Capital Project Lead – Leach Pottery

We are working on a development plan and need to expand our team.

Overall Purpose of the Role
To oversee and manage the development of Leach Pottery capital project (working closely with the Leach Pottery Director). Initially from early 2022 to mid-2023 working with the Leach Pottery team and design team to develop the details of the project.

When work onsite begins in mid-2023 a review of the role will occur to include being the day to day contact for onsite capital works. The project is currently due to completed by mid-2025.

Purpose of the project
This capital £4 million investment in a ‘living heritage asset’ will make a significant contribution to the vibrant culture of St Ives and increases its use as a key community asset. The project focuses on all three objectives of the TIP (Town Investment Plan);

• Supporting the health, wellbeing and aspirations of all residents in life- through creativity in clay, training and jobs
• Creating opportunities for young people which allow them to flourish – through our community and education programmes, improved accessibility and local partnership working
• Embedding sustainability and green growth and growing a year round economy – through reducing our carbon footprint and creating year round jobs and increasing a proven out of season tourism offer.

Initial Contract to summer 2023 with break clause and further contract to 2026, 0.6-1 FTE, 32-35K pro rata dependent on experience.
