Job Title: Chief Curator
Salary: £35,000
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: The National Holocaust Centre and Museum, Laxton, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 0PA

About us

We are Britain’s national museum of the Holocaust. We were founded by a warm, inspiring Christian family in 1995, became a home-from-home for survivors of the Holocaust and, despite considerable growth, remain a values-driven community of hugely committed staff, supporters and partners. Today, The National Holocaust Centre and Museum has ‘natioonally styled’ museum accreditation from Arts Council England and is a Band 2 National Porfolio Organisation. We deliver all our work within the framework of this relationship.

The role

You will play a central part in our redevelopment. You will develop and lead your own team to draw on our collections as well as on partnerships with museums, archives and academic teams nationally and internationally to design compelling new permanent and temporary exhibitions, curate an innovative programme of digital outreach and audience engagement, expand our audience numbers and diversity and, working closely with our Education team, draw on the legacies of the Holocaust to address pressing contemporary ethical challenges.
