Collections Assistant – Brooklands Museum

Brooklands Museum is a unique and special place to work, where people’s pursuit of speed, flight and adventure changed the world! We are located on a 30-acre site, part of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit and the most productive aircraft factories in Europe in the twentieth century, we are also home of British Airways Concorde – Delta Golf. The Museum welcomes over 185,000 visitors each year these are made up of members of the public, Brooklands Members, VIPs, corporate hospitality guests and school groups.

We are currently looking for a Full Time Collections Assistant, available for a January 2025 start to assist the Collections Manager and the team in the day-to-day preventative care and management of our very special and important collections and exhibits. As an independent charity, our Collections Team are key to the continued conservation and preservation of our historic collection. You will work closely with the Collections Manager and assist in the management of the volunteer collections team. You will have an interest and passion in history and collections, and will have the opportunity through on the job training to develop and increase your skillset. You will have great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload while maintaining a strong attention to detail, along with a positive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to be flexible and ‘get stuck in’ as needed.
