Do you love bringing collections and their stories to life as well as have a passion for working with people? We’re looking for proactive and energetic people with previous experience of curation, engagement or museum learning to join our team.
As a Collections & Engagement Curator you will be integral to the success and development of Herefordshire Museum Service.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we redevelop Hereford Museum and Art Gallery and reorganise the service. We want to be a socially engaged organisation. Our aim is to re-establish strong relationships with the people and communities of Herefordshire and embed inclusivity and community involvement at the heart of how we work.
We want Herefordshire to be a centre of excellence in community-led programming and cultural engagement. We want to celebrate diversity, foster creativity and spark curiosity. Your experience of developing high quality events, exhibitions and displays, learning sessions or community and access programmes will be central to making a success of this role.
You will be part of a team who are passionate about encouraging participation and dialogue with local people, stakeholders and volunteers. You will lead one of our audience engagement areas (families or rural isolation) and be responsible for a discrete collections area:: Arts or Archaeology and Social History.

We understand as a hybrid role that you may have more experience in some areas than others and as such, we will support you to develop your skills and knowledge.
