Collections Manager – Dorset Museum
Salary: £26,250
Hours: Full time
Term: 2 year fixed term contract

Dorset Museum is looking for a hands-on individual who is knowledgeable about the documentation and storage of museum collections and passionate about increasing access to them.
Working as part of the wider curatorial and public engagement team, this role has particular responsibility for documentation and the relocation of objects to the Museum’s visible on-site storage facility (Collections Discovery Centre). They will ensure that SPECTRUM procedures are complied with and facilitate access to the collection. They also support the development of the collection.
Dorset Museum is one of the leading independent, charitable, heritage organisations in the South West of England. Its diverse collections contain over four million objects and span almost 250 million years, including internationally significant geology, archaeology and literary artefacts.
