The Fashion and Textile Museum is looking for a Communications, Marketing and Press Officer.
The Fashion and Textile Museum, London was founded in 2003, by icon of British design, Dame Zandra Rhodes. Today, the Museum is operated by Newham College, London – one of Europe’s largest further education colleges.
This post communicates the work of the Fashion and Textile Museum to the public and stakeholders by presenting and publicising the Museum’s programme of exhibitions and learning, the Museum collection, and supports the Museum’s commercial and fundraising priorities alongside generating coverage and recognition.
As part of a small team, this post plays an essential part in ensuring visitor and commercial targets are met by engaging new and existing audiences and broadcasting the Museum’s audience offer.
This post also provides crucial support for the Operations team in the day-to-day running of the Museum including Duty Manager responsibilities, customer service and estates.
We are looking for an ambitious all-rounder with a keen interest in Museums and design and with an eagerness to learn and grow their skills. The successful candidate will be a confident voice in advocating the work of the Fashion and Textile Museum and Newham College.
Salary: £28,284 – £29,889
