The Vacancy

North Lincolnshire Museums are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Community Curator to represent the Museums in the community. This new role will work collaboratively to develop the Museums’ collections to more accurately represent the communities of North Lincolnshire. The Community Curator will champion and build sustainable partnerships with communities in North Lincolnshire through a creative engagement programme including exhibitions, events and digital content.

North Lincolnshire Museums collect and display the heritage of North Lincolnshire with exhibitions at North Lincolnshire Museum and Normanby Hall Country Park. We are aware there are gaps in our collections and the stories they tell. The Community Curator will work with our communities to identify those gaps and missing stories. Through consultation and co-production with communities they will fill those gaps using contemporary collecting and re-interpretation.

Salary: £25,409 to £28,371 per year
