Cultural Director – CV Life

Culture Coventry Trust (operating as CV Life) is looking to appoint an Interim Cultural Director for a period of one year from May/June 2022 – May/June 2023.

This is a unique opportunity to help Culture Coventry build on the legacy of UK City of Culture and shape the future of culture within CV Life, during a period of extensive development opportunities within the city.

We are looking for an experienced and progressive leader who can combine operational delivery with strategic and dynamic vision.

The Interim Cultural Director will have a dual role:

1. Leading the Creative Team (Collections, Exhibitions, Learning and Engagement, Archives and Digital Media) that delivers the existing cultural programme and maintains collections, while also being part of and contributing to the Senior Leadership Team.

2. Shaping the strategic future of the museums and creative programme within CV Life as it undergoes a wide-ranging transformation programme at a pivotal time for culture in Coventry, laying the foundations for the appointment of a long-term Cultural Director.

The appointment could be structured around a Fixed Term Contract, a Secondment, or a Commissioned Consultancy.

The salary / fee is expected to be £50k – £60k, depending upon both the experience of the successful candidate and the contractual nature of the appointment.
