The Trust owns a house museum in Hammersmith that was the home of Sir Emery Walker (1851–1933), a distinguished typographer, who was a close friend of William Morris and an influence on many members of the Arts and Craft Movement. The museum reflects these connections with wallpaper and hangings by Morris, embroideries by his daughter, May, and, furniture and other items inherited from Philip Webb. The museum is perhaps the best extant example of Arts and Crafts taste.
The Trust is seeking an enthusiastic member of staff with Curatorial experience in a historic house/museum context and excellent people skills. It would also be an advantageous for them to have experience of working with volunteers and to have some knowledge of the Arts and Craft Movement.
