Development Director – The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welch Fusiliers
Salary: £35,000
Hours: Full time
Term: Permanent with a 6 month probationary period
Location: The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, Caernarfon Castle
Closing date: 12:00 pm 13 May 2022
The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welch Fusiliers first moved to its present home in Caernarfon Castle in 1960 where it now operates from within the Chamberlain and Queens Towers by agreement with Cadw. The museum’s governing charity works with several organisations to provide museum services, based principally on the significant collections that represent the history of the Regiment from its establishment in 1689.
Following a detailed review, the museum trustees now wish to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Development Director who will manage the day-to-day operation at Caernarfon. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to lead and develop a museum service, displaying a dynamic approach underpinned by sound professional judgement. The person appointed will work with the Trust’s Management Committee to drive forward a series of identified strategies, principally based on the need for future resilience.
Closing Date for Applications is 12noon on Friday 13 May 2022
The appointment will be made on a full-time permanent basis, subject to a 6-month probationary period. The salary offered for the post will be £35,000 pa.
