The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for an Events Officer to support the Trust’s programming, providing logistical and administrative support in the successful delivery and ongoing development of our audience engagement programme across the year.
You will report to the Head of Operations who is responsible for the Shakespeare family homes and be an onsite Duty Manager for a substantial number of programmed events, either in sole charge or as part of a team depending on the scale of the event.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of organising and managing events in either a heritage, museum, arts or charitable context, and possess good interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator.
You will be highly organised, have excellent administrative skills and have strong attention to detail including creation of risk assessments and Health & Safety documentation. You must be willing to work evenings and weekends, take duty management responsibility and have an interest and enthusiasm for Shakespeare and the arts.
