Bletchley Park is a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations. The mission of the Bletchley Park Trust is to attract, engage and educate people from all over the world in order to inspire them with Bletchley Park’s crucial role in World War Two.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Exhibitions and Interpretation Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Head of Content, the Exhibitions and Interpretation Manager will be responsible for all exhibitions on site from initial concept to take-down. You will play a key role in shaping the interpretation of the Bletchley Park story and will work closely with the Collections team, Research Historians and designers to prepare exhibitions, working collaboratively with all teams on site to ensure these are planned and coordinated with considerations for other activities taking place across the Park.
To be successful you will have demonstratable experience of interpretation and exhibition delivery within a museum/heritage venue, and be confident in exhibition content development, design and implementation. You will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal, project management and budgeting skills, proficient in IT with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
This position is full time, working 37.5 hours each week, usually Monday to Friday 9.00 until 17.00. Flexibility to work before 9.00am and/or some evening and weekends on occasion is required.
You will be based on site at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes.
In return, you will receive a salary of £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
