Facilitator – Museum of Bath at Work

We wish to appoint a Facilitator to guide the Board of Trustees through strategic discussion of medium & long-term forward-planning:
Managing future change: scenario planning and strategies to ensure the long-term existence of the Museum of Bath at Work
Funded by a grant from South West Museum Development using public funding from Arts Council England.
This is a freelance position for a self-employed individual. Applicants must confirm their self-employed status at the time of application.
Scope of work (summary)
- Familiarise with the Museum of Bath at Work operation, governance and finances
- Desk research to identify a range of governance, operational and financial models with examples from small museums across the UK
- Devise approximately 6 sessions to facilitate the Trustees and Museum Director to consider and evaluate operating and governance models that will ensure the long-term existence of the Museum
- Lead, guide and coach the Trustees and Museum Director through their discussions, with the aim of achieving agreement on future course of action
- Produce final report summarising options and recommendations.
Contract
13 days over 20 weeks commencing 1 September 2023. The contract must be completed by 19 January 2024
Fee
£4,550: the fee offered is a flat fee and cannot be increased.
