General Museum Manager – Dr Jenner’s House

The General Manager is the leader of Dr Jenner’s House team of staff and volunteers, and as well as leading day-to-day operations of the museum, is responsible for the development and delivery of key strategies to enable the charity to fulfil its aims. You will enable our future vision for Dr Jenner’s House, improving the sustainability and resilience of the organisation as well as rejuvenating its visitor offering.

This is an exciting time to join the team at Dr Jenner’s House and Garden as we have ambitions to re-grow the museum’s visitor numbers after some challenging years as a result of Covid. We aim to increase academic visits and re-invigorate our programme of events and activities. This includes material available online and at partner organisations as well as at the museum itself. We also recognise the need to grow our fundraising to support our future ambitions. We are applying for funding to repair and refurbish the Chantry and its outbuildings, as well as develop an interesting and engaging programme into the future.
