Going Places Environmental Responsibility Consultant – Art Fund
Salary: £15,000
Term: January – October 2024
Location: Art Fund, 2 Granary Square, King's Cross, London N1C 4BH
Closing date: 12:00 am 24 November 2023
Art Fund is the national fundraising charity for art.
We believe that art can make you see, think and feel differently, and through our work we help make art more accessible to as many visitors as possible, wherever they are.
We are currently seeking an Environmental Responsibility Consultant to support the development of Going Places, a new UK-wide programme that will engage and involve underrepresented audiences with museum collections through high quality, collaborative touring exhibitions and public programmes. This opportunity has been made possible through the generous support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund which has awarded a development grant to help Art Fund progress its plans in this area and apply for a full NLHF delivery grant in late 2024.
Going Places will establish five networks of 2-5 small to mid-sized museums, with each network producing two touring exhibitions over five years (2025-2030). The Environmental Responsibility Consultant will:
- facilitate partner reflection on current sustainability approaches,
- support networks to monitor environmental impact (including data collection systems and processes) and set environmental impact project targets, and
- support partners and networks with training, tools and resources (this may include signposting to existing resources), to embed sustainable best practice into network activity and touring.
We care about equal opportunities and welcome applications from a broad diversity of talent from all sections of the community.
If you have the skills and enthusiasm we’re looking for, we want to hear from you.
