Job Title: Going Places Network Coordinator
Salary: £28,500
Hours: 0.6 FTE
Term: 12 month fixed term contract
Location: Art Fund, 2 Granary Square, King's Cross, London N1C 4BH
Closing date: 12:00 pm 30 October 2023

Who are we?

Art Fund is the UK’s national fundraising charity for art. We give grants to help museums, galleries, historic houses and public arts organisations to acquire objects for their collections, to share them with as many people as possible, and to support research and training for museum professionals. We are supported by our growing membership of 135,000 through the National Art Pass, as well as the generosity of many individuals, trusts and foundations.

The role

This is an exciting new fixed term role in Art Fund’s programmes team. The Network Coordinator will work closely with the Going Places Project Manager to support the development and delivery of Going Places, Art Fund’s new UK-wide programme that aims to engage and involve underrepresented audiences with museum collections through high quality, collaborative touring exhibitions and public programmes. This role has been made possible through the generous support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund which has awarded a development grant to help Art Fund progress its plans in this area and apply for a full NLHF delivery grant in late 2024.

The Network Coordinator will provide day-to-day support for the five networks of museums and galleries: being the central point of contact, coordinating meetings and training opportunities, and supporting their development of ambitious plans for Going Places network activity including community consultation and/or community co-curation and exhibition themes.

Alongside Going Places the Network Coordinator will also assist across Art Fund’s wider programme as required through the assessment of applications, and management of casework and related administration.
