Bletchley Park is a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations. The mission of the Bletchley Park Trust is to attract, engage and educate people from all over the world in order to inspire them with Bletchley Park’s crucial role in World War Two.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Content to join our busy team. Reporting to the Director of Public Engagement, you will lead and manage the team responsible for the delivery of Bletchley Park’s exhibitions, collections and archive management, oral history and research.

We have just moved into our dedicated Collection Centre, so it’s a great time to join us.  This is an excellent opportunity to improve how we operate in core areas and how we care for and catalogue our collections.

You will be responsible for the management of the historic fabric of the museum’s assets and creative implementation of the Bletchley Park story through exhibitions and interpretation, supporting the wider team with the design and development of onsite and digital content.

You will have demonstratable experience of leading and developing a large team and collections for public access within the museums and heritage industry.  You will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal, contract and project management skills. Good IT skills including the ability to use Google Docs, MS Office, and word processing and spreadsheets, is a must.

This position is full-time, working 37.5 hours each week, usually Monday to Friday 9.00 until 17.00. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, as required.

You will be based on site at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes.

In return, you will receive a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum depending on experience, along with a company pension scheme, BUPA wellbeing cash plan and 38 days holiday per annum, including statutory holidays.
