National Coal Mining Museum for England (NCMME) keeps the stories of coal mining alive by collecting and preserving the industry’s rich heritage, creating enjoyable and inspiring ways for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to learn & enjoy all we have to offer.

We are embarking on the next exciting part of our journey to deliver a fresh new vision over the next 10 years. With this in mind, we are looking for applicants who not only have the right blend of relevant skills and experience to fulfil the role of Head of Corporate Governance but those who are also genuinely enthused by this unique opportunity.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who, supported by the Company Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, will provide professional, expert corporate governance support to Board members, senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation to ensure our compliance with the Museum’s regulatory bodies and deliver best practice governance processes, policies and procedures.

The Museum offers a generous holiday entitlement, a pension scheme and operates a flexible working policy.

The salary for this permanent position is £45,000 per annum (pay award pending), 36 hours per week.
