HEMG expert panel recruitment

Research England is seeking applications for expert panel members for its review of the Higher Education Museums and Galleries (HEMG) Fund. Research England wishes to appoint 6 expert panel members to work with the panel Chair.

The Higher Education Museums and Galleries Fund supports universities with:

• museums
• galleries
• collections

The fund provides support to universities for additional costs incurred by making important resources available to the wider research community.

These museums and galleries provide distinctive benefits to the sector nationally and deliver world-leading or internationally excellent research outcomes.

This fund will be reviewed in 2023. The review will set priorities and future funding levels for the new 5-year funding period beginning in August 2024 to July 2025. Higher education museums, galleries and collections in England will be invited to apply for funding for this 5-year period.

Number of positions: 6

Length of term: 1 year (course of the review)

Time commitment: 6 days

Remuneration: £170 per day

Interview date: No interviews will be conducted. Panel members will be selected from the applications received.
