Heritage, Collections and Interpretation Manager – Avoncroft Museum
Salary: £27,000
Hours: Full time
Term: Permanent
Location: Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire B60 4JR
Closing date: 9:00 am 31 January 2022
An opportunity to make your contribution to generational development and change at England’s first open-air Museum of Buildings as part of the senior management team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a heritage professional with particular interest in historic buildings to help preserve and set the future direction of England’s earliest open air museum of buildings!
An excellent team player who is not afraid of a challenge, you will need to collaborate closely with other senior management team members, to juggle the conservation needs of a complex site and collection of historic buildings with the requirements of a busy heritage visitor attraction.
You will need to be at home with managing building projects with architects, surveyors and heritage contractors, as well as inspiring and leading teams of staff and volunteers in research, interpretation and engagement projects.
We are not just a Museum of Buildings – we tell stories of Midlands life. If you can not only help us to conserve the past but bring our history to life, we want to hear from you!
