Heritage & Operations Officer – UK Antarctic Heritage Trust
Salary: £25,000
Hours: 30 hours per week
Location: UKAHT, High Cross, Madingley Road, Cambridge, CB3 0ET

Reporting to the Head of Operations and the Head of Buildings and Conservation, along with the wider UKAHT team, you will help with the delivery of a safe, sustainable programme of activity in Antarctica, preparing and supporting the seasonal Antarctic team at Port Lockroy and our other sites. You will provide logistical, practical and administrative support to the team throughout the year to ensure excellent documentation and season preparations.
This role covers a wide range of areas including logistics, communications, heritage, retail as well as health and safety, recruitment and training, but specific experience in these areas is not essential as training will be provided. Most importantly, we’re looking for a team player who is willing to learn and brings a really positive, enthusiastic attitude. They should be organised, efficient, and capable of simultaneously managing multiple priorities across different functions. They will have strong administrative and numeracy skills, good communication and a flexible, hands-on approach that they are willing to apply to all tasks.
This part time role could suit, but is not limited to, an early career applicant, a parent returning to work, someone with good administrative skills and/or someone with an interest in finance, administration and retail that is looking to take their career in a new and interesting direction.
