To develop textile and wool production at Coldharbour Mill. This key role is vital to safeguarding the heritage spinning and weaving skills of the past 225 years and keeping them alive for generations to come.

We are seeking a Heritage Spinning & Weaving Manager to develop textile and wool production at Coldharbour Mill. This key role is vital to safeguarding the heritage spinning and weaving skills of the past 225 years and keeping them alive for generations to come.

The successful candidate will need to have experience in textile and yarn production as well as experience developing and delivering training, as this role will support the education of apprentices, work placements and our volunteer team. They will also develop our processes to improve and redesign production at the Mill, creating new products for retail sale and keeping our heritage machines maintained. Full support and additional training available.

They will require strong organisational and communication skills as they will run our Production Days at the Mill, demonstrating for our visitors, while overseeing the work of our volunteers and other team members. They will lead in creating memorable and inspiring experiences for our visitors and volunteers.

Hours of work: 5 days from 7 as suits the needs of the business. Mainly weekdays between 9am-5pm with occasional weekend work based on the Events programme of the Mill, which will be agreed in advance with the General Manager
