Job Title: Marketing Manager
Salary: £25,000
Hours: 26 hours per week
Term: Permanent
Location: Ripon Workhouse Museum, North Yorkshire
Closing date: 11:59 pm 12 December 2021

Do you have the drive and ambition to work with a successful heritage organisation, reaching out to visitors, ensuring they have a brilliant experience and growing our audiences?

Do you have excellent presentation and promotional skills to design and run really innovative and effective PR campaigns?

Do you have the foresight and analytical skills to scan the horizon, use data and develop long term successful marketing strategies?

Do you have the networking and communications know-how to work with national players such as the Arts Council, regional partners and our team of 150 volunteers?

If so, this job is for you! Since 1982 Ripon Museum Trust has run three museums in the heart of the City of Ripon.

In 2020 the global Covid-19 pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for the whole tourism industry and Ripon Museums were closed for just over 3 months. In mid-July we reopened with Government safety measures in place and the Visit Britain’s ‘Good to Go’ kitemark. The Trust understands the absolute importance of marketing to our recovery process and survival going forwards.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovative Marketing Manager, who can help us on this journey, taking us from strength to strength, anticipating opportunities and adding value to the Senior Management team. This will be challenging for sure, but the job satisfaction and team work rewards will be high. Ripon Museum Trust is a close knit community with strong values of fairness, ambition, community, team work and learning. Come and be part of this brilliant team!

This post will lead, develop and manage Ripon Museum Trust’s promotional and marketing activities. We have a well-established offer and programme covering law and order, social justice and poverty to promote to tourists, learners and online users from across the region and beyond.  We have an active schools, groups and hire programme as well. The Trust is a National Portfolio Organisation (Band 1 until March 2023) and uses Arts Council funding to broaden our core demographics to deliver ACE’s  ‘Let’s Create Vision and Strategy 2020 – 2030.
