The Leach Pottery has secured £3.49m funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to support the development of the Leach Pottery in St Ives, Cornwall. The funding brings exciting new job opportunities to become part of this once-in-a-lifetime programme.

Make with Leach Coordinator: Adults & Young People

Make with Leach offers participants who would otherwise face barriers accessing the Leach Pottery ways of engaging with the pottery and ideas of the Leach Pottery.

Contract: 1 FTE Fixed-term contract, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
Dates: November 2024 to March 2028 (with a six-month probation)
Salary: £25k FTE

Make with Leach Coordinator: Schools & Families

Make with Leach offers participants who would otherwise face barriers accessing the Leach Pottery ways of engaging with the pottery and ideas of the Leach Pottery.

Contract: 1 FTE Fixed-term contract, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Dates: November 2024 to March 2028 (with a six-month probation)
Salary: £25k FTE

Communications & Marketing Apprentice

To support our Stakeholder Communications Manager in delivering Leach Pottery’s communications and marketing on a day-to-day basis.

Contract: 0.8 FTE, Fixed-term Contract in partnership with Digital Peninsular Network and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
Dates: November 2024 – March 2028 (with a six-month probation)
Salary: £22.3k FTE

Volunteer Coordinator

To help to ensure that the Leach Pottery evolves as a nurturing and exciting place for volunteers to be part of the team.

Contract: 0.6 FTE Fixed-term contract, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Dates: November 2024 to June 2027 (with a 6-month probation)
Salary: £25k FTE

Interpretation Lead

To lead the development and installation of new interpretation as part of a significant redevelopment of the Leach Pottery site and deliver a final installation.

Contract: 0.6-1 FTE Fixed-term 25-month contract
Dates: November 2024 to December 2026 (with a 6-month probation)
Salary: £26-27k FTE or as a freelance contract

Interpretation Curator

To work with the Interpretation Lead to develop the interpretation for the new museum displays.

Contract: 0.6 FTE Fixed-term contract, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
Dates: November 2024 to March 2028 (with a 6-month probation)
Salary: £25k FTE

Curatorial Assistant, Collections

To help develop and deliver interpretive content for our capital development and activity programmes. You will support all aspects of preparing collection displays, exhibitions and loans across the site.

Contract: 0.6 FTE, Fixed-term contract, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund
Dates: November 2024 – March 2027 (with a six-month probation)
Salary: £22.3k FTE
