Venue and Events Manager – Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park is a vibrant heritage attraction, open daily to visitors, revealing the secrets and telling fascinating stories of the secret British World War Two codebreaking operations. The mission of the Bletchley Park Trust is to attract, engage and educate people from all over the world in order to inspire them with Bletchley Park’s crucial role in World War Two.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Venue and Events Manager to join our Operations team.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Venue and Events Manager will be responsible for the museum’s private and corporate events offer, helping to maximise opportunities to generate income by supporting with the delivery of events for corporate partners, sponsors, and supporters as well as delivering private hire events across the site.
You will ensure that all private and corporate events are run successfully, promoting Bletchley Park as a unique and exciting venue and building upon the reputation of the Trust as a venue of choice. liaising with contactors and third-party suppliers, as needed.
You will have proven experience managing and selling spaces for corporate or private hire and events, and will be able to demonstrate strategic planning, organisational, administrative and project management skills, converting enquiries into successful event delivery. You will also be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
This is a hands-on role, which will include some heavy lifting to facilitate the set up and effective turnaround of event spaces.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, including weekend and evening working as required.
In return, you will receive a salary of circa £30,000 per annum depending on experience, along with a company pension scheme, BUPA wellbeing cash plan and 33 days holiday per annum, inclusive of statutory holidays.
This is a site-based role, located in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
