Visitor Welcome Manager – Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

We are currently looking for an experienced Manager to be responsible for the delivery of a world class visitor experience across our Shakespeare family homes. 

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of day to day visitor operations; including the training and management of staff and volunteers to make the most of their abilities and aspirations.

Other responsibilities include: delivering an exceptional visitor experience; motivating the team to deliver conversion rates, admissions (including Gift Aid) and secondary spend income; adhering to fire, security, Health & Safety, cash handling and data protection; developing a working culture which incorporates sound environmental practices; ensuring colleague awareness and compliance with emergency plans.

To be successful in this role you will have experience of managing a successful visitor operation, ideally in a busy heritage attraction or similar setting. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, combined with strong experience of managing people including volunteers. With a passion for team motivation, you will have a track record in achieving and surpassing financial targets, whilst ensuring consistent high standards in the delivery of an excellent visitor experience.

The post holder will be required to act as Duty Manager, working over seven days and Bank Holidays on a rota basis with colleagues. There will also be a requirement to manage and attend some out of hours events.
