The Green Howards Trust is seeking a highly capable and forward-thinking individual to serve as Chief Executive Officer, guiding the future direction of both the Trust and the Green Howards Museum, one of the UK’s most respected regimental museums.  This role will shape strategy, drive fundraising and ensure the continued relevance and sustainability of the organisation.

Located in historic Richmond, North Yorkshire, the Green Howards Museum tells the powerful story of the soldiers who served for over 300 years in one of Britain’s most distinguished infantry regiments until amalgamation in 2006 into the Royal Yorkshire Regiment.  Our mission is to preserve and promote this unique military heritage while ensuring the organisation’s long-term sustainability and continued relevance to new generations.  We are committed to delivering impact through education, community engagement and care of our nationally significant collection.

Now is an exciting time to join the passionate team of trustees, staff and volunteers to build on the excellent work of the current Chief Executive.  We are very focused on ensuring the legacy of the Green Howards, exemplified through the extraordinary collection in the Museum and the stories of those who served, endures for very many years to come.  We would be delighted to hear from anyone who feels they possess the skills and experience laid out in the job description.  The opportunity exists for an informal conversation before applying, for any potential candidate who would find that to be useful.
