Poole Museum is about to reopen after a £10.3m transformation, backed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Launching July 2025, the revitalised Museum will be a vibrant cultural hub on Poole’s historic quayside—offering exhibitions, creative spaces, learning programmes, and more.   We’re looking for a strategic, creative Fundraising Consultant to help us build a resilient, future-proof income model. This is your chance to shape a fundraising strategy that supports long-term impact and sustainability.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of a multiyear fundraising strategy aligned with our business plan.
  • Identify new income streams: trusts, foundations, corporates, digital, and public giving.
  • Audit & benchmark current fundraising activity and recommend improvements.
  • Create a compelling case for support and donor engagement tools.
  • Explore digital innovation, partnerships, and governance models.
  • Build capacity through light-touch training and internal resources.

Deliverables

  • Strategic fundraising plan + roadmap
  • Draft case for support
  • SWOT analysis of governance models
  • Tools for tracking, reporting, and donor care
  • Training resources/templates
  • Final report with recommendations.
