This is an exciting opportunity to join the Welsh Government to both support Ministers in developing and delivering Welsh cultural policy and to act as the museum sector development agency in Wales.

Museum Development: Standards and Performance Adviser x 1
The post holder will develop and manage work relating to museum standards and performance management, acting as lead officer in managing and administering the Museum Accreditation Scheme and encouraging museums to engage in other relevant standards and benchmarking schemes. They will advise local museums on Accreditation requirements and support them to gain/maintain their Accredited status. The post holder will also develop and manage relevant benchmarking and research into museums’ performance and impact.
Museum Development Adviser x 1
The postholder acts as the ‘first point of contact’ in providing advice and support to local museums across Wales. They will help develop and deliver policy and strategy for museums in Wales and will support Welsh Ministers to deliver strategic objectives for the museum sector in Wales. The successful postholder will develop strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues and organisations.
