The Trust is a forward-looking organisation, using our legacy of 20th century innovations in motorsport and aviation to inspire, excite and engage our visitors, members and stakeholders. We not only keep the past alive through our extensive exhibitions and events programmes, we actively engage our audiences to think about the future through the lens of Brooklands’ history.
We are at an exciting point in the development of Brooklands Museum as we are building plans for the next 10 years. Under the new leadership of our Chair, you will be part of a new team playing a crucial role in shaping our future direction. We seek strategic, commercially minded Trustees who are willing to dedicate the necessary time and effort and who share our enthusiasm for our mission and work. Please note that these roles are voluntary and unremunerated.
This is a pivotal time to join our Board as we lay the groundwork for our next strategic development, building on our past successes to ensure the Museum’s vibrancy and financial sustainability.
At this time, we would like to hear from potential trustees with expertise and experience in:
- STEM learning
- Fundraising
- IT infrastructure and digital delivery
- High volume visitor attractions
- Estates management and development.
We are seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who can bring fresh perspectives and thinking to our team.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: Number of meetings per annum: five daytime meetings per annum, (January, March, June, September, November) plus additional away day/training sessions. Sub-committee meetings may take place between or prior to each full Board meeting.
