Clyne Heritage Society

Job Title: Treasurer
Location: Clyne Heritage Society, Sutherland, Highlands of Scotland
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week
Contact Details: [email protected]

After two of the most exciting years in our history, our Treasurer, Rhona, has intimated that she will be stepping down from her role at the end of the year, which is also the end of our accounting year.  We thank her for her dedication and organisation over this time.

This means that we are now on the lookout for a new Treasurer to help guide us through the next important and very exciting phase, as we plan for opening of our £5M redeveloped Old Clyne School in the summer of 2025.

During this phase, the role will be a very exciting one; it will also be challenging, however the successful person will have all the support needed, especially at the start.

Experience of having held the position of Treasurer with a community organisation is an obvious advantage, although experience of working with financial/accounting systems would be perfectly acceptable as an alternative.

If you feel you have the right attributes to help the Society in its next developmental phase, or know of someone who might be interested, please contact our Chair, Nick Lindsay at [email protected] for an informal chat about the role and what is involved.

We would certainly consider someone who is not even based in Brora, as all business could be done remotely.  This means it could be ideal for someone with the necessary skills, who may have a connection with the village or would be keen to help an organisation on the cusp of an exciting new chapter in its evolution, but their location (remote from Brora) has prevented them becoming involved in the past.

It would be great to hear from you!
