Cogges Heritage Trust is charity which cares for and runs Cogges Manor Farm, a unique historic site in Witney, West Oxfordshire. The charity’s purpose is to preserve, protect, develop and improve the archaeological, historical, architectural and environmental heritage of the site of Cogges Manor Farm and associated land for the benefit of the people of the County of Oxfordshire and the wider members of the public.

Cogges Heritage Trust is now seeking additional Trustees to its well-established Board of Trustees. The Board provide collective governance leadership of the organisation in support of its charitable objects. Trustees will play a key role in setting the strategic direction of the organisation and overall policy, defining goals, establishing targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to be part of the next exciting phase of Cogges’ development.  You will share our passion for making the Farm relevant and rewarding to a wide range of audiences, and be willing to challenge and bring fresh thinking, new ideas and entrepreneurial qualities to enable Cogges to get better and better.

We are seeking Trustees with a wide range of skills and interests, but particularly with experience in:   

  • Property management / Conservation / Construction, ideally within a heritage setting  
  • Fundraising
  • Horticulture and/or the Environment
  • Volunteering.

Knowledge of the sector not essential but passion and commitment.

We will look for you to commit to ten Board meetings and six sub-Committee meetings (optional) per annum, serving on a voluntary basis, a minimum of 4 hours/month.
