Groam House Museum is an independent charitable museum holding nationally significant Pictish sculptured stones, the George Bain Collection, and local history material. The museum is entering an important period of development, including preparation for a feasibility study to explore future development, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.
We are seeking to recruit 2–3 new trustees to strengthen the board and help shape the museum’s next chapter. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Museum or heritage development
- Strategic planning or organisational change
- Capital projects, feasibility studies, or redevelopment
- Audiences, digital engagement, or marketing
- Fundraising, philanthropy, or income diversification
- Creative practice, design, or interpretation
- Tourism, visitor experience, or place-based development
Trustees are non-executive volunteers who contribute at a strategic level, supporting and working with the Museum Manager and acting as ambassadors for the museum.
Previous trustee experience is welcome but not essential. We are keen to hear from people who bring ideas, curiosity, and fresh perspectives.
