The West House and Heath Robinson Museum Trust

The West House and Heath Robinson Museum Trust is responsible for a thriving community hub which includes West House, the Heath Robinson Museum, Daisy’s café and the Verden Event Rooms. We are looking to take on board two new Trustees, as we are ambitious about our future and are looking to build our skills in areas that will be key to our success.

In particular we are looking for Trustees to help develop us in two key areas:

1. Marketing & Fundraising – like many small museums, visitor numbers have fallen since lockdown and we want to reach to new audience. We need someone to work with our management team and new curator to raise our profile and bring people in to our fabulous museum and develop our digital marketing. We are always looking to raise money from new sources too and expertise is this area is desirable. We expect the time commitment to be around 20 days per year.

2. Finance – we are looking for a trustee to help our Treasurer with managing our finances and ideally we are looking for someone with a relevant financial qualification. We expect the time commitment to be around half a day per week.

Additional information:

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 3-4 meetings per annum; plus approx 20 days per year for Marketing & Fundraising / half a day per week for Finance.

Daytime or evening meetings: Daytime + occasional weekend
